It’s like this: there are two pipelines, each of which is quite complex. One of them requires stress calculations, while the other does not. But there is a third pipeline that serves as a connection between these two. Is it possible to simulate only the pipeline that requires stress calculations, without analyzing the entire system? Could we use something else instead, such as loads, initial displacements, or other factors? Please help!
Jane: By calculating the displacement at the tee point between the 3rd pipeline (the cross-line pipeline) and the 2nd pipeline, the displacement of the 1st pipeline can be determined. The premise is that the displacement at the tee point where Pipe 3 (the cross-line pipe) meets Pipe 1 is small; consequently, this has little impact on the tee point where Pipe 3 meets Pipe 2. Standard: Calculate jointly to the nearest fixed end (fixed support or equipment nozzle) on the upstream and downstream sides of the third pipeline (crossing pipeline) and the tee point of the second pipeline (front and back).
Thank you. If the temperature is 400° and the pipeline is DN25, can the first option be used? Why must the premise be that the displacement has little impact? It seems okay even if the impact is greater
Are pipelines complex? Is it difficult to calculate displacements accurately, or should we just perform modeling and analysis?
