I went to Chengdu for a trip at the beginning of September and wanted to try authentic Dandan Noodles and similar dishes, so I found a small restaurant with quite a few customers outside. After sitting down, I ordered a bowl of Dandan Noodles. The owner asked how many liang I wanted; based on my usual experience, 3 liang of noodles would only make a small bowl, so I simply said 3 liang. The owner confirmed again, \"You really want 3 liang?\" ”I said, “Three taels.” As soon as it arrived, I immediately understood that this “3 liang” wasn’t really 3 liang at all – it was more than half a jin. It was only later that I learned that 3 liang in Chengdu refers to a large bowl. The food in Chengdu is really delicious.
It’s not easy to find authentic Dandan noodles these days.
It seems that when in Chengdu, people don’t pay much attention to food, so it’s relatively easy for restaurants to make a profit.
There aren’t many dan dan noodles places in Chengdu; only Food Paradise has them
It seems like I’ve been there before; Chengdu still puts delicious food first

Sichuan Dandan Noodles are one of my favorite types of noodles! Two more cold dishes, and after that we’ll go to the internet cafe next door to play a game of Dota; that’s about it for entertainment in life.
I can’t tell whether it’s authentic or not; anyway, I find it delicious, and I can’t get this taste anywhere else.
Jiuge Dandan Noodles in Yongxing Lane, Chengdu is worth trying; at the other end of the lane there’s also a family-run mapo tofu restaurant, whose food is also quite good
