Barrels of flammable liquids must not be struck! If this bucket has never been opened, it is sealed! No leaks! Of course, there must be combustible materials inside the barrel; since hitting it creates a source of ignition, what about the oxidizing agents? How does it exist! If it doesn’t exist, does that mean there’s no danger? Or maybe the lid of the barrel is open, but nitrogen is filled inside – is that the same thing? Could you please help me explain? In my opinion, it should be fine. Without meeting the three elements required for combustion, burning certainly won’t occur. Could hitting the material cause a reaction, or could high pressure lead to a physical explosion as a result of the impact? ?
But ordinary barrel-packed materials don’t generate high pressure! Is there really no danger anymore?

Moreover, if a barrel contains a substance that tends to expand, it can be dangerous. For example, if ethylene oxide stored in a barrel is exposed to the sun and starts to expand, the active molecules inside move vigorously. In the presence of an ignition source, such as a spark, an explosion can occur. Even in the absence of an oxidizing agent, an explosion can still happen due to decomposition. This kind of thing has happened in our company as well; during forklift transportation, a barrel of solvent exploded accidentally, but fortunately no one was injured.
Are there many substances that can decompose and explode? I guess most can’t! In other words, aside from materials that can decompose and explode, the risks associated with other operations are controllable!
Another thing that stands out clearly in my mind is the acetylene gas cylinders. I suggest that the original poster tell us what types of incidents fall under decomposition explosions. . .
I don’t know either; I’m confused myself! But epoxy and acetylene are two different things! Acetylene is dangerous when contained in pressure vessels. Consider only bulk materials! One bucket of epoxy!

It mainly depends on what’s inside the tank, the explosion limit of that medium. There’s oxygen in the spaces above the tank, right? High static electricity generated by impacts or knocks, along with the energy produced by these events – it’s not a simple issue.
So what would happen if it were sealed, with no gaps and no oxygen?
