The hot water tank section of my installation has not been put into use, mainly because the pipe leading water into the tank often gets clogged; therefore, the water is now discharged directly into the coke bed. On the other hand, there is also concern that the interlock system for monitoring roof pressure may fail to function, resulting in negative pressure in the water discharge tank and thus a risk of the tank collapsing. It’s mainly because people’s mindset hasn’t changed, haha
These days, everything is done with energy conservation in mind; however, there are still some design elements that are necessary. On our end, we simply place it in the coking tank for natural cooling, and then lift the water to the cooled coking water tank for reuse, which yields good results.
