The names of those god-like devices

Have any of you guys come across names for devices that sound like they belong to some magical technology? I’ve seen a few such names; I’ll share them here for everyone to take a look at. Please post them in the top comment and write below it: Hydrogenation of feedstock――Atmospheric and vacuum distillation; Hydrogenation of light oil――Catalytic gasoline hydrogenation; Hydrogenation of heavy oil――Catalytic diesel hydrogenation; Hydrogenation of fuel oil――Gasoline and diesel hydrogenation units
C4 separation, isomerization, MTBE – MTBE integrated plant; isobutane dehydrogenation, isobutylene purification – dehydrogenation and purification unit
Was it because it was difficult to get approval for the project at that time, that such a name was chosen to meet the requirements of higher authorities?

At Liaoyang Chemical Fibers, the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit mentioned earlier is called the “oil head””

It seems that there are regulations set by the National Development and Reform Commission, which stipulate that the capacity of vacuum distillation units must be at least 3 million tons per year; therefore, some local refineries refer to those with a capacity below 3 million tons as pre-treatment units in order to avoid compliance issues. Also, the raw material is not crude oil, but rather some coal tar or Marcellus 16 heavy oil; in some cases, normal pressure is not required, electric desalination is not needed, and there is no complex heat exchange network, so it is reasonable to refer to it as a pretreatment unit.

There’s a lot of consideration gone into naming this device; in some places, there are various requirements regarding the term “tank,” so the manufacturer changed it to “apparatus.” As a result, there are no “storage tanks” in the factory – only lots of “storage apparatuses”: lol
