How to translate PROCESS DUTY? Each of the process air compressors must be capable of delivering the following flow rate to the process: The rated flow rate under normal operating conditions, as well as the flow rates during shutdown and startup processes, must be achieved without the need to release air at Condition-3. The static frequency converter must be designed to enable startup under Condition-3 (the startup condition is defined as the continuous operating point on the control curve with the inlet guide vanes in their lowest possible position)
It seems that there’s no mention of PROCESS DUTY in the entire passage; this should refer to the process load. Case refers to the operating condition, rated denotes the rated (design) load, Guarantee indicates the guaranteed usage amount, while startup and shutdown refer to the processes of starting up and stopping the system. What’s important is that your air compressor’s air supply capacity must be sufficient to meet the demands of different load conditions.
I agree with the view above; PROCESS DUTY can be understood as the process load, or more simply as the \"air compression volume\".
