Since the active ingredient in the reaction tank sometimes does not dissolve completely, and it is also difficult to determine whether the active ingredient has dissolved fully under normal conditions, the basket filter keeps getting clogged whenever external circulation of the tank is started. I hope experts can offer some advice – are there any other ways to solve this problem?

I was wondering if there are other ways to solve this problem? The main reason for adding a basket filter is the concern that mechanical impurities in the material could damage the centrifugal pump!

The filter has a small area; the filter mesh has small pores and a low pore ratio, which triggers an alarm for increased pressure difference
The blockage indicates the presence of dirt, so it’s necessary to install a filter; it’s possible to add another one as well and connect them, using one as a backup
What was said upstairs about having one in use and one as a backup makes sense; at our compressor inlet, there are two filters, as the pre-treatment isn’t thorough enough, and there are catalysts involved. If you have space, use one as the main one and another as a backup
Add a needle valve behind the filter; take a sample before turning it on to check
If you already know it’s blocked, what else can you do? It can only be taken apart for cleaning! Include a spare during design so that cleaning can be done in rotation. The filter size can also be increased to extend its usage time!
Some people say to increase the mesh size of the basket – I’m shocked too. Obviously, the problem isn’t that the aperture is too small; rather, it’s that the particles coming out of the previous tank aren’t dissolved properly and are too large. If the aperture is enlarged, how can this protect the pump? In that case, it might be better not to use a filter. I think a sight glass should be added to the outlet pipe for visual inspection, and the mixing method should also be changed; in the laboratory, ultrasonic waves can be used to break down substances that are difficult to dissolve. I’m not sure if this is possible in a factory setting
1. Blue-type filter: if it gets clogged, it can only be cleaned. There is no other good way. 2. Consider adding one more, one as a backup. 3. It is possible to install a protective mesh at the discharge port on the tank (inside the tank) in order to reduce the entry of solids into the pipes. It is not prone to clogging here, as continuous flushing is provided by the stirring.
