Recent designs have involved the selection of thread types; ordinary threads would suffice. However, after checking the thread standards, it turns out that the maximum nominal diameter for ordinary threads is 300 mm, while my structure requires threads with a diameter of 320 mm. How should this be addressed in the design? I searched online and found no relevant information. I wonder: is it possible to proceed with the design directly by using the calculation method for threads, based on 320mm? Or are there no such large standard threads, and do I need to make structural changes? Please, experts, thank you. I’m waiting online. .

It is difficult to screw on due to the large diameter. It’s not necessary to follow that strictly; you just need to specify the pitch, tooth profile, and tolerances
You can design it according to a pitch standard of 300, but you need to consider the magnitude of the tightening force in order to determine the pitch (the thickness of the threads).
