Dear experts, for a project, the design institute is investigating the wear caused by solid-containing materials on pipes and valves, and they need us to provide data on the hardness of these materials. What type of hardness is meant here, and where can it be measured?
Be more specific in what you say; only then can others help you, such as the types of materials, proportions, manufacturing processes, and so on

For heavy oil hydrogenation, the feed material contains no more than 5% solid particles. The design institute stated that solids can cause wear on the pipe walls during transportation, and requested that we provide information on the “physical hardness and properties” of these particles. It is generally scratch hardness. Mohs hardness is a type of scratch hardness primarily used for testing the hardness of inorganic non-metallic materials, especially minerals
Thank you very much. Our particles are extremely fine, on the order of microns. Is it possible to measure their Mohs hardness?
