After our turbine was shut down, the rotor stopped rotating; so why did it start spinning again on its own, maintaining a speed of over 2900 revolutions per minute? It wasn’t until the steam valves were closed that the rotor finally stopped! Help needed
I haven’t encountered it; it’s always due to interlock shutdowns. I’ve never seen it start on its own without human intervention
It’s that after the chain jump, when getting ready to send the order, it starts moving again! The quick-close valve might be leaking

Do both quick-close valves and speed control valves leak internally?
Yeah! Otherwise, how would the rotor rotate?
Or the hydraulic actuator is stuck, and the control valve stem has not returned to its original position
Is it a backpressure machine? If both the quick-shut valve and the speed-regulating valve leak, how does the rotor come to a stop?
