What is the general required size for valve symbols when printing system flowcharts? For example, for globe valves or gate valves, what are the appropriate lengths and widths, and are there any specific requirements? Personally, I think that for clarity on the drawings, the length should be 6–10 millimeters and the width 3–5 millimeters. I’m not sure if there are any specific regulations regarding this – namely, what the minimum and maximum values should be. It’s impossible to draw a stop valve symbol with a length of 20 millimeters, nor can it be only 2 millimeters long ;
Is there no legend? Just pull it over and use it.

Valves in the design drawings should still be drawn to scale as much as possible.
