Every company has its own set of rules – some that show a lot of consideration for employees, some that are strange or funny, some that bring joy, and others that cause annoyance… There’s a wide variety of rules. If smoking is not done in the designated areas, be prepared for the worst outcome: dismissal
I work in the maintenance of petrochemical mechanical equipment. Let’s talk about the regulations required for daily work. I. Tickets need to be placed in a file bag ； II. It is necessary to bring more than 3 oil trays: one for tools, one for spare parts, and one for bolts and other components ； III. The tools in the tool oil basin must be kept clean, and they should be arranged in order, using the upper edge of the oil basin as a reference ； IV. A warning line must be placed at the work site ； V. A stop sign must be placed on the power switch of the corresponding pump ； VI. The property owner’s guardian must be present at all times ； VII. (Finally, it’s time to start tightening bolts.) Begin working; the parts removed during the work must be placed immediately in the parts tray ； VIII. Measure all the data you can measure... Keep proper original records ； These are the most trivial regulations involved in daily work~
Smoking is strictly prohibited in my factory... Those caught will be fined and then dismissed.
There is a rule stating that travel on business trips during non-working days does not count as overtime~
And they talk about smoking? On our floor, there’s 1 manager who smokes in the corridors and restrooms every day – who dares to stop them?
There are really all kinds of weird rules~
You must clock in for going to and leaving work; there is no overtime pay for working extra hours
Regarding overtime pay, isn’t it more or less the same in all cases? The strangest thing about the company back then was that smoking was prohibited inside the company; if you were caught smoking while eating at a restaurant outside, you would still be punished. Get along well with the HR manager (from Vietnam), and your salary can be higher than the manager’s.
Damn, I eat at the noodle shop across from the factory every day. As for smoking, it’s pretty much the same in all chemical factories, right?
I used to work in a shipyard, and now I’m not working in a chemical plant either. So it seems really weird.
