Can *ao acid be used to adjust the pH of wastewater?

To avoid any impact on subsequent processing stages due to bacteria, is it possible to use *ao acid as a substitute? Could this lead to increased levels of pollutants in the wastewater, such as ammonia nitrogen? Thank you!
No, the total nitrogen level will increase. *It is very difficult to reduce AO acid back to ammonia nitrogen.
*AO acid has strong oxidizing properties
