Excessive pressure drop in the spray tower

We have installed a new set of spray tower systems, with two stages in series. It worked normally for 2 months, but suddenly foam appeared inside the tower, affecting the liquid level. After changing the spray water, the pressure drop in Tower 2 increased by 1 kPa within 1 day, while there was no significant change in the pressure drop of Tower 1. Should professionals discuss this?
The packing inside the tower is blocked; it needs to be cleaned!
How to clean it? I also know it’s a liquid blockage; the reduction in the cross-sectional area of the channel prevents the spray liquid from flowing downward, as it is held back by the process gas. The smaller cross-sectional area also increases the resistance to the upward flow of gas. But with the same two towers connected in series, if the first one isn’t blocked, why is the one behind it blocked? Can you explain it?

Perhaps the process conditions in the previous tower do not lead to blockages, but the second tower does reach the conditions for blockage
Could you introduce the process flow? What changes occur in one tower after changing the spray water? Personally, I think a pressure drop of around 1 KPa is within an acceptable range.
