The planetary gear reducer should be firmly installed on a stable, horizontal foundation or base; the oil in the oil drainage groove should be able to drain away, and the cooling air should circulate smoothly. The foundation is unreliable; it causes vibration and noise during operation, and leads to damage to the bearings and gears. When the drive coupling has protrusions or uses gear or sprocket drives, it is necessary to consider installing protective devices; when the output shaft is subjected to large radial loads, a reinforced version should be chosen. 2. Use the specified mounting devices to ensure that workers can easily access the oil level gauge, vent plug, and drain plug. After installation, the accuracy of the installation location should be thoroughly checked in sequence, as well as the reliability of the tightening of all fasteners; it should be able to rotate freely after installation. The planetary gear reducer uses oil sump splash lubrication; before operation, the user must remove the plug from the vent hole and replace it with a vent plug. Depending on the installation location, turn the screw of the oil level plug to check the height of the oil level line. Add oil through the oil level plug until the lubricant overflows from the screw hole of the plug. After tightening the oil level plug to confirm everything is in order, proceed with a no-load test run for a period of at least 2 hours. Operation should be smooth, without shocks, vibrations, noises, or oil leaks; any abnormalities detected must be resolved promptly. The oil level should be checked again after a certain period of time to prevent leaks that may occur due to the casing; the grade of the lubricating oil can be changed in cases where the ambient temperature is too high or too low. 3. When installing the planetary gear reducer, attention should be paid to aligning the transmission axis; the error allowed must not exceed the compensation capacity of the coupling used. Good alignment can extend the service life and achieve optimal transmission efficiency. 4. When installing the drive component on the output shaft, it is not allowed to use a hammer for striking; instead, assembly fixtures and the internal threads at the shaft end are used to press the drive component in with bolts, as doing otherwise may cause damage to the internal components of the reducer. It is best to avoid using rigidly fixed couplings, as improper installation of such couplings can result in unnecessary external loads, leading to premature damage of the bearings; in severe cases, it may even cause the output shaft to break.
