Small… how small? ? If it is below 500, pipe materials can be selected. It’s actually the same; it just depends on what’s more convenient.

Using standard seamless tubes for the cylinder body has its limitations. . Pay attention to the clauses in some standards.
Actually, I think having standard pipes is sufficient
400: pipes or coil sheets are both acceptable.
How long is the cylinder? I think this is the key factor. If the cylinder is very short and there are few devices, it wouldn’t be appropriate to buy just a section of pipe. If the cylinder is very long or there are many pieces of equipment, using pipes is much more convenient, as only the circumferential seams need to be inspected. If I were to design it, I would still go by the actual circumstances: if the equipment is homemade, that’s one thing; if it’s manufactured externally, then it’s another matter. I would use boards whenever boards are available, and tubes whenever tubes are available.
