Is the power rating or whether it is a sliding bearing motor indicated only at the time of manufacture regarding the magnetic center line? Rolling bearings are generally not marked?
The magnetic center line is unique to sliding bearings; rolling bearings serve a positioning function, preventing the motor rotor from moving back and forth. Before alignment, it is necessary to test the motor separately to determine the operating position of its magnetic center line; sometimes the position indicated by the motor manufacturer may be inaccurate
Rolling bearings all include a deep-groove ball bearing or a set of angular contact bearings to handle axial forces and the axial positioning of the rotor; even if the magnetic field lines do not align, it does not affect the position of the rotor. As long as it is a sliding bearing that is not positioned using rolling bearings, its magnetic center line must be determined and marked during the factory trial run. Sliding bearings are generally used in high-pressure, large motors, while rolling bearings are used in small motors.
