I would like to ask what purpose the balance line in a back-pressure steam turbine serves, and what its structure is like; is it simply connected to the inlet and outlet pipes of the steam turbine?
All rotary turbine equipment has a pressure difference between the front and back, which is used to balance the axial force
The balance line is the one that connects the high-pressure and low-pressure areas, and it is generally used in conjunction with balance wires.
The structure consists of connecting the outlet of the back-pressure turbine to the gas collection chamber at the piston, with a drain valve in between to balance the axial forces
