How long is an appropriate storage period for the surveillance footage of the tank farm? **Are there any relevant regulations? Thank you
AQ 3036—2010 **Specifications for the Installation of Safety Monitoring Equipment at Tank Farm Sites for Major Hazardous Chemicals Sources
To date, there are only requirements related to the monitoring design for a few major hazard sources; no such standards have been found for ordinary tank farms. Records of general temperature, pressure, etc. are to be retained for more than 30 days (Order No. 40). The video surveillance period is not specified (generally, 15 days should suffice; no relevant standards were found). AQ3036-2010 is quite comprehensive in terms of its settings; it essentially combines various standards into one instrument. In fact, all the provisions outlined in this standard can be found in the individual standards, and there are no time requirements specified in this standard.

In fact, the usual retention period is between 15 and 30 days; if other factors need to be taken into account, 3 months of retention is sufficient. However, it occupies a particularly large amount of memory, so it is necessary to monitor and increase the storage space on the host. I’ve never seen any regulation that specifies a time limit.
