It is not easy to save water in open-type cooling towers, as reducing the water temperature requires the evaporation of water. I think what can be done on a daily basis is to regularly check the nozzles and replace those that are damaged or missing promptly; moreover, it’s important to use quality-approved products from reputable companies for the packing materials and water collectors. This is to prevent uneven water distribution, which could affect the rate of temperature reduction, and to avoid water loss resulting from the operation of multiple cooling towers. If external conditions permit, air cooling can be considered.
Water quality reports for replenishment, as well as basic data such as the volume of circulating water, pressure, inlet and outlet water temperatures, and local dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures, are provided to help circulating water manufacturers with design and selection.
