I understand what ‘purging’ means; it’s something that has been seen in specific diagrams, and it refers to devices installed on the streets for that purpose.

Purge devices are available in many forms, not just flow meters. The purge ring for magnetic flap level gauges can be installed at the flange connecting the level gauge.
I’ve really never seen a purge system using magnetic flip plates; does the original poster have any pictures?
If it were just ordinary manufacturers, that would be fine, but these are design institutes that need to submit bids and estimate costs. Brother.
