The primary coolers in coking plants, steel plants, and urea plants are all used to cool gas; the principle of operation for them should be the same, right?
Even in coking plants alone, the primary coolers come in horizontal and vertical types, and the processes involved are naturally different. :)

The structure may vary, but the principle remains the same: they are all indirect coolers
Vertical tube type primary coolers are now almost extinct; at least as far as I know, no new coking plants are equipped with such vertical tubes. As for the various forms of primary cooling using horizontal tubes, please refer to relevant textbooks, which provide a comprehensive overview.
The heat exchange principle of the heat exchanger is the same! The structural forms can be diverse! !
