As the title suggests, I study engineering and this is my first time posting in the instrumentation section. In my work, I need to select a flow meter for a small device, as the flow rate of fluid in and out of that device needs to be measured accurately. So I said to the senior engineers at our team: How about using a mass flow meter here? . Although I already knew that the goal of our little device was to save every penny that could be saved, and I also knew that mass flow meters are quite expensive, I thought a DN50 model shouldn’t be too costly. . . But it was still met with a merciless ~um~ rejection. How expensive is this legendary mass flow meter exactly? For the same diameter, how much more are devices such as orifice plates, vortex street sensors, and target types? I hope the experts here can offer some guidance! Thank you first!
Looking at brands, domestic ones range from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, while imported ones can cost over a hundred thousand; Maintenance costs are also high; once it breaks, it must be repaired by air freight.
Imported 2-inch ones cost around 200,000, while domestic 2-inch ones cost around 80,000 to 100,000
It is indeed expensive; the mass flow meter of model EH with a 80-mm diameter in our unit costs over 400,000:lol
It depends on how high your requirements are for precision and stability
Dear sea friend, the E+H model you’re using, the DN80 version, costs over 400,000. We are only the first-level agent, so we probably can’t offer such a low price
It depends on whether you use imported or domestic products; the high-end DN50 E+H models of imported brands cost around over 100,000 yuan, while domestic ones cost only a few ten thousand yuan. In this case, I recommend that you opt for a domestic vortex flow meter, which costs just a few thousand yuan. If you need help, feel free to contact me privately and I can assist you with selecting the right model for free
Actually, the quality flow meter is not very expensive when it leaves the manufacturer’s factory, and the amount of money the manufacturer receives at the time of sale is also not high. For the model you mentioned, imported ones cost around 80,000, while domestic ones are roughly 30,000; But... if intermediaries are added, along with the gray areas, the price goes up. You’re a newcomer; this isn’t something you were supposed to know. Just work hard and stay true to your original intentions.

I used an E+H 2-inch model; its price at the factory was only 60,000 yuan. As for those models with higher prices, one can imagine how much exaggeration is involved in those figures. In the instrumentation industry, big doesn’t really mean big – there are only a few brands available. How can such a situation sustain itself in the long term?
