Generally speaking, the temperature of the desulfurization solution has little impact on the desulfurization efficiency. However, the main component of the desulfurizing agent used for coal gas desulfurization is soda ash (sodium carbonate), and temperature affects the solubility of soda ash. Do you still remember that when adding chemicals to the chemical dosing tank, it is necessary to introduce steam to raise the temperature of the tank to a certain level before adding soda ash? Raising the temperature serves to accelerate the process and increase the solubility of the soda ash. The same issue occurs: the temperature of the desulfurization solution gradually decreases during operation (it’s roughly the same as the temperature of the gas), and a certain amount of precipitation forms in the solution, though in small quantities; this precipitation usually settles in the rich liquid tank.
