Do these six things before leaving work, and they will bring you unexpected results. After a busy day at work, I check the time – wow, there are only ten minutes left until quitting time! So the person immediately switches to a relaxed state; some may already be organizing activities after work via messaging apps, going to the bathroom, having a drink, or simply waiting quietly for work to be over. However, these ten minutes are still working hours; it is the company owner who is paying for your labor time. I’m sure no boss wants to see their employees being distracted and not fully focused on their work during these ten minutes; if he happens to notice this, he might conclude that you are not paying attention at work and end up forming a negative impression of you. Think about it – you’ve already worked hard all day; why ruin everything in the last ten minutes? It’s better to make good use of this final time to bring a perfect end to a day’s work, allowing the darkness before dawn to produce the brightest effects. In the last 10 minutes before leaving work, remember to do these 6 things. 1. Check the work done on the day. The last ten minutes are too short to be productive at all, so you certainly shouldn’t try to do any task that requires mental effort. Open the work memo to check if there are any tasks left unfinished for today. 2. Check your email. Check your email one more time to see if there are any important messages you might have missed. 3. Record work notes: Review the tasks you have completed today and briefly note down the details of those tasks, so they can be referred to when needed in the future. 4. Organize the items that were added today – such as new business cards given by others, newly created documents, important files sent over by others, etc. – to ensure they are all in the right places and that backups have been made 5. List the tasks for tomorrow and label them according to their urgency, so as to avoid wasting time organizing them when you arrive in the morning; you can also use your free time after work to think about what you will say in tomorrow’s meeting. 6. Finally, it’s time to leave work. At this point, turn off your computer, ensure that the monitor is powered off as well, gather your personal belongings, tidy up your desk, throw away any trash, and then you can leave with your bag. Don’t worry – your boss will see your efforts. If you do these 6 things properly, your boss will definitely take notice of your hard work and keep it in mind; over time, your impression score will improve significantly.
It seems like it will take more than ten minutes to finish these tasks.
Ten minutes after work? Doing the things you mentioned will only make your boss think you’re not efficient, and they won’t assign you any work. Similarly, managers who try to arrange tasks half an hour before the end of work hour shouldn’t expect their subordinates to pay attention to them, unless it’s an extremely urgent matter.
Ten minutes before quitting work is usually the time to get ready to leave
I hate it the most when the boss calls people together for meetings at this time; it’s truly a source of intense frustration :@
Working overtime all day; it’s more like doing what needs to be done in the last ten minutes before leaving
There’s no way to finish all the tasks. Half an hour is about right.
One usually doesn’t realize that 10 minutes remain until work is over; it takes 10 minutes before they realize it.
Easy to say, hard to do! Our leader wants you to work overtime, or to leave 3-5 minutes after work ends!
I always leave early; I never finish work on time! ;P
Clean up half an hour in advance, that’s all
