Stratification can only be carried out after heating.
A high feed temperature affects the top pressure of the tower and the temperature of the vapor drawn off, increasing the air cooling load and thus raising energy consumption. The feed parameters for the workshop are set based on design values, which facilitates material separation

Of course, if the feed temperature is too high, firstly, the degree of condensation of the acidic gases at the top of the tower is insufficient, and the water vapor content in these acidic gases is high, which hinders the operation of the sulfur recovery unit ； Secondly, excessively high temperatures can cause H2S to release from the raw water inside the heat exchanger, resulting in a gas-liquid mixture; this accelerates the corrosion of both the heat exchanger and the feed pipes (we have suffered serious consequences as a result of this in the past).
That’s correct; there were also stripping towers in sulfur recovery units before. But our unit is small-sized, and it’s different from those used in oil refining
