Let’s take a look at them today: 1. High temperature resistance: Graphite products are among the materials with the highest known resistance to high temperatures. Its melting point is 3850°C ± 50°C, and its boiling point reaches 4250°C. Under an ultra-high-temperature arc of 7000°C for 10 seconds, it exhibited the least graphite loss, with a weight-based graphite loss of 0.8%. It can be seen that graphite has excellent high-temperature resistance. 2. Thermal and electrical conductivity: Graphite products possess good thermal and electrical conductivity. Compared to ordinary materials, its thermal and electrical conductivity is quite high. It is 4 times higher than stainless steel, 2 times higher than carbon steel, and 100 times higher than ordinary non-metals. 3. Special thermal shock resistance: Graphite products possess excellent thermal shock resistance; that is, when temperatures change suddenly, their coefficient of thermal expansion is low, granting them good thermal stability. As a result, cracks do not form during sudden changes in temperature. 4. Chemical stability: Graphite products exhibit good chemical stability at room temperature, resisting corrosion from acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. 5. Lubricity: The lubricating properties of graphite products are similar to those of molybdenum disulfide, with a friction coefficient of less than 0.1. Their lubricating capacity varies depending on the size of the flakes; the larger the flakes, the lower the friction coefficient and the better the lubricity.
