Some equipment, such as vacuum units, are now available as complete systems. How should they be represented in the preliminary design when drawing process flow diagrams? Should it be drawn in detail, or some other representation?
At the very least, the interface needs to be drawn, right? As for what’s inside the pry tool, will the manufacturer provide it, or will you specify it? In a complete flowchart, it is best to include everything, to facilitate understanding later on.

Actually, I’ve seen both. If everything is drawn out in full, it’s easy to understand, but could there be anything that one doesn’t want others to know? For example, with patents and copyrights, are you worried that unauthorized people might cause the leakage of information? During the preliminary design phase, squares are used as substitutes, but the corresponding connection ports must be drawn. Generally, after an inquiry, the manufacturer will send over the skid-mounted design drawings, which contain detailed flowcharts; the design can then be created based on those. When producing the construction drawings, there must not be just a single box – the client will think your skills are very poor
