The weld joint inspection shows no problems, but there are issues with the base material – how should it be inspected?
On the condition that the chemical composition is satisfactory, the following items are inspected: 1. Non-destructive testing is carried out via UT re-inspection; if it fails, the item is discarded. 2. If the UT test is successful, a hardness test will be conducted; if the hardness value is too high, annealing treatment can be carried out to allow for acceptance on a conditional basis.
