I would like to ask those who have pressurized the system with modified gas before starting the purification and circulation process: what impact does this have on the time required for the purification gas to meet the required standards?
Why not use nitrogen for pressurization? Won’t the sulfur-free rich methanol in the upper column get contaminated? The H2S level in the exhaust gases will exceed the limits. It might take less time to meet the requirements, but it’s not worth it.

Some devices are pressurized with shift gas, which eliminates the need for subsequent purge operations; in fact, I think it’s even better to use shift gas for purging.
Try to avoid using shift gas for pressurization; nitrogen should be used instead. The biggest problem with using shift gas for pressurization is that it introduces a large amount of moisture into the methanol wash due to the lack of pre-cooling, which is quite problematic
