Why is the top of the stripping tower equipped with air cooling and heat exchangers, while the fractionation tower has only air cooling?
First, the power ratings for air cooling and water cooling are not specified
Regarding the issue of heat load, if heat can be recovered, heat exchangers are used; when there isn’t enough heat and the temperature is low, the value of recovery is minimal, so coolers are used to cool it down directly.
Heat with high value can be recovered; for materials with a lower temperature, a heat exchanger is needed to heat them. When there is too little heat and the temperature is low, the recovery value is minimal, in which case a cooler (air-cooled) is used for direct cooling.
It is mainly determined whether to use heat recovery or condensation cooling based on whether its heat capacity has practical value. .
