It is probably a small storage tank with a capacity of around 100L and a DN500 diameter. I’m asking all the experts for help!
The poster also needs to specify conditions such as pressure, temperature, and material properties.
Hello, this is an ammonium salt solution storage tank; it’s quite small, with a volume of around 0.1 cubic meters, and it operates at room temperature. How is work pressure determined?
The operating pressure is determined by the process conditions; if no pressure is required, a tank designed for atmospheric pressure will suffice. Reference can be made to the standard NB/T 47003.1-2009 (formerly JB/T 4735) for welded steel pressure vessels at normal pressure.
Hello, may I ask what shape would be most suitable for a storage tank of this small size? Are they two elliptical end caps in a horizontal configuration, or a vertical design with a flat bottom and an elliptical end cap on top, or a vertical design with elliptical end caps on both the top and bottom supported by supports? Thank you so much!
Upper and lower elliptical end caps, or even better, to facilitate discharge. The support can use straight legs, and a flat cover can also be considered for the upper head.

How should I determine the material to be used for the storage tank, since the solution to be stored is either a sodium hydride solution or an ammonium salt solution? 2. How is the welding coefficient determined? Double-sided welding, single-sided welding, 100% non-destructive testing, partial non-destructive testing. Under what circumstances is it appropriate to choose? Thank you very much for your answer. !

I’m not sure about the corrosion resistance of carbon steel against these two types of solutions; if it’s permissible, carbon steel can be used. With a small volume and thin wall thickness, single-sided welding with double-sided formation can be employed, along with local non-destructive testing; the weld coefficient should be set at 0.85.
Why design it yourself? It’s so small; ready-made versions are available outside
It’s probably to familiarize me with the entire design process. There’s no way.
