What is the function of a universal joint? 2. We have recently transferred a Alfa Laval single-screw pump from the industrial water workshop to be used for transporting dirty oil (containing a large amount of flocculent and particulate impurities). We are not sure whether it is theoretically feasible to use this type of pump for such purposes 3. Could any member provide some information on Alfa Laval screw pumps? (We’ve lost our documents; those from other manufacturers will do as well. I mainly want to understand the structure and working principle of screw pumps.) 4. What are the precautions to take during the operation of screw pumps, and how are common accidents handled? 5. What is a G-series single-screw pump? Thank you all for your help and answers!

In twin-screw and triple-screw designs, the shafts are straight while the threads are helical; in contrast, in single-screw designs only the shaft is helical. Can the components connected to them still be concentric in such a case?

The solenoid rod is spiral-shaped, but its axes are at least concentric. I have never seen the rotor and stator out of alignment, unless it’s a cycloidal reducer
