The downturn in the oil industry has affected the engineering construction sector. Last week, while eating in the cafeteria, I ran into my mentor; he was also busy with bidding. Both the mentor and the former supervisor are in their 50s, and they will retire after working there for another ten years. As for me, I’m still young. Where will I be in ten years? After eating, I had an idea: maybe I should get a certificate to prove myself. Upon checking, the registration period for first-level construction engineers has already passed. The registration for natural gas engineering professionals seems to have been discontinued as well; it appears that only PMP certification is still available for registration, with exams taking place before October. That’s it then. In the afternoon, I called a PMP training institution; damn it, they asked for 3,980 yuan for the training. I talked on the phone with that person for a long time; 3,000 yuan is the lowest price possible. It’s just an online training course; having one more or one less doesn’t make any difference to you. I insisted on getting 900 yuan for it, and the “teacher” there said they would talk to the supervisor again. There’s no reason; I’m in a bad mood today. But then I thought, what’s the point of passing it? That thing is overused these days... I’m stuck in confusion...

Things are indeed tough in the chemical industry these days; accept reality and work hard to improve yourself little by little. For cost engineers, the registration period for the exam has passed. The deadline is July 26th. I am a first-class constructor, and I’m not in Beijing every time I apply. I get angry when I see so many people able to take the exam every year. But then, thinking that so many people who took the exam didn’t pass it, I feel happy again~~~
This year is my second year on the path to obtaining the first-level construction engineer qualification, and I must succeed this time. Let this serve as proof. :P
