This post was last edited by Yiming on 2015-7-27 at 15:45. I have just graduated and am working at a company that specializes in flue gas desulfurization and denitrification, in the technical department. At first, I didn’t know anything; the other employees there all came with experience and could handle whatever tasks came their way. I, on the other hand, knew nothing and had no one to guide me. I want to learn something on my own, but I don’t know where to start. Is there anyone who’s been through this before? I’m seeking some advice… I’ve been working here for a month now, and my tasks have mainly involved looking at the company’s tender documents as well as the process diagrams of projects the company has completed. I haven’t touched anything related to design at all, yet the work of the other people in my department is all related to design. I really don’t know where to start……

Start with the operation manual and flowcharts, then look at the various professional assignment documents. Keep it up!

First, read the flue gas desulfurization technology manual to familiarize yourself with the process, then learn the methods for preparing technical documents, and gain experience by helping others with this work!

Hmm, thanks. Could you be more specific?

Okay, but could you be more specific? For example, would learning be a bit faster if I went to the site?

Check the literature first; there are many technical articles online

To learn design, one must study design standards and understand the processes involved.

It is recommended to go directly to the construction site for a month of hands-on experience, to get more familiar with the process equipment and to learn about the drawing catalogues for desulfurization and denitrification projects. Starting from the basics will help things progress gradually

Which company does the original poster work for? For desulfurization and denitration?
I won’t say where, yes, desulfurization and denitration.

Are there any recommendations for standard-related materials in the field of design?
