I would like to ask the teachers: For tube sheets used in explosion-combustion applications with heat network heaters, are there any requirements regarding the thickness of the cladding layer? Can I use 6mm laminated material?
I can only say that the thickness of the double layer in a typical shell-and-tube heat exchanger’s composite plate is generally not less than 3 mm. The most common sizes are 3mm and 4mm; 5mm is less common, and 6mm has not been seen. Generally, the minimum thickness for surfacing that ensures corrosion resistance is 6mm.

This post was last edited by lj_1993 on 2015-7-29 at 16:03. The thickness of the composite material can range from 2 to 16 mm; for tube sheet failures, a thickness of 6 to 10 mm is generally preferred for composite coatings, and 6 mm should be sufficient. It is recommended to use 8mm or 10mm
The technician here said to use 6mm.
