I would like to ask the experts here. I work in gasoline blending; MTBE is commonly used to increase octane rating, but it is expensive and has a strong odor. I’ve heard that TAME can also raise the octane rating – is this true? What is the specific way of using it? Also, there are very few manufacturers in the market that offer TAME services; could you recommend some? Thank you
It’s effective; currently, there are still quite a number of manufacturers producing MTBE, so it’s easy to find them.
