Advantages and disadvantages of Zhejiang University’s ECS700 and Hilscher’s K series

I would like to ask the experts here for some advice. For a small resin factory considering the use of a DCS control system, which of these two options is better in terms of practicality and operability? I have no prior experience with DCS control systems, so I hope the experts can offer some guidance. If possible, could you also provide information on their configurations? Our score is around 1000 points!
Zhejiang University’s ECS700 and HollySys’ K series are both the latest flagship DCS systems offered by these two companies, each with its own advantages. They have achieved significant success in the large-scale petrochemical industry. When making a choice, there’s no need to worry about performance – both systems are equally effective. In terms of after-sales support, HollySys offers better localized service, and Zhongkong also provides timely assistance; both are superior to foreign services. You can simply compare the prices, but avoid keeping pushing for lower prices. Two rounds of quotation are sufficient; otherwise, if these two companies compete solely on price, the winner might not necessarily be the best choice for you. After all, if you win the bid but can’t make a profit, they will surely try to find ways to cut costs, which will lead to delays in service as well.
In terms of hardware, there is no significant difference between them; as for software, the usability of the central control system in ECS700 is much better than that of Hilscher, so ECS700 is recommended. However, when bidding, it is recommended to involve both companies, as they will compete on price.

The 300XP is too old; using it is not even as good as using an ECS100.

The maximum number of analog input points allowed by ECS100 seems to be 512; you need to check the official website for the IO capacity limits of various series, compare them with your own requirements, and consider future expansion needs.

Then go to the official website and check the maximum number of IO points for the JX300; you might need to prepare two sets of DCS, and communication between them may also be required.
We have few points – only 1,000 in total – and the process is also relatively simple, so they all recommend 300 XP

I suggest that the original poster stop using the 300XP; after all, it’s an old system. From a user’s perspective, I recommend using the ECS 700. 1000 points is far too powerful compared to my initial 100 points. :D
