Rossmount 5402 radar level gauge error code fault

One of the Rosemount 5402 radar level gauges in the company is displaying garbled characters; it cannot be accessed using a 475 device as well. A multimeter shows that the current is 2.75 MA. Could it be that the electronic components inside the gauge are damaged? Has anyone encountered this?

You know what the fault symptoms and garbled characters are; we don’t. If you don’t tell us, how can we know what the fault is? It’s possible that the header display is simply set to something else. The 475 controller won’t work – is there resistance in the circuit, is the resistance value too high, or is the power supply too low? You only say that garbled characters are displayed, but don’t specify what kind of garbled characters; you only mention current. How can I help you then?
