Circulating water cooling, as temperatures are high in summer. What must be the temperature difference between the inlet water and the return water to meet the process requirements?

The design for the temperature rise in normal circulation water is generally based on 8 degrees or 10 degrees; the minimum value required is usually not less than 5 degrees, though there are also cases where it is a little over 4 degrees.
The temperature of the process medium to be cooled after cooling is greater than 50°C, and the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet water in the circulation system is maintained at 8–10°C℃; The temperature of the process medium after cooling is below 50°C, and the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet water in the circulation system is maintained within 5°C to 6°C℃
The temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the circulating water should not exceed 10 degrees.
In summer, it’s probably around 4 to 5 degrees; generally, 5 degrees is used as the estimate
The goal on the process side is to move towards the tropical region; temperature difference is not a significant control parameter. A small temperature difference can be compensated for by increasing the circulation. However, the temperature difference between the outlet water and the return water of the circulating water should not be too large; in particular, the temperature of the return water should not be too high, otherwise it becomes difficult to properly use the additives and carry out control measures for the circulating water.
High circulating water temperature in summer is a major problem. We have to install additional cooling towers and fans.
