Are there any situations that require long-term simulation?

While I was simulating an intermittent reaction, I found it took a long time; later, for some reason the software closed automatically, and when I opened it again all the data was gone. So I wonder if anyone has encountered situations where software simulation takes several hours?
The runtime is often short due to the complexity of the process simulation, such as those with complex distillation columns or extractive distillation, or those involving cycles and nested cycles. Generally, it won’t exceed 10 minutes.
A few hours definitely indicates a problem; the estimated value is oscillating.
It is estimated that your model is not yet large enough to run for several hours; if it runs for too long, using EO for calculations will be much faster.
Can EO run without SM?
Only an initial value from him is needed; convergence is not required.
