In what situations is this type of pump mainly used? I haven’t seen it in any devices

It is mainly for energy savings, and it has become increasingly popular in the chemical industry. At present, its use is not widespread in China, but given the current pressures related to environmental protection and energy conservation, its prospects are very promising in the future.

Is this re-compression using steam machinery? I see that pump is also used in MVR systems
Similar, but that was an ancient machine; nowadays, many generations have been developed to save energy.
I posted a thread in another forum before; the original poster might be able to help clarify this issue: For a certain project, someone suggested using an MVR compressor. I haven’t worked with them before, so I would like to ask the experts here: 1. Is an MVR compressor suitable for saturated steam with mixed components (where the water content is greater than 80%)? 2. The compression ratio and temperature rise range of the MVR compressor: for a given compression ratio, how should the outlet temperature be chosen? Is being supersaturated advantageous, or is it necessary to cool down to the saturated state? 3. Does the presence of flammable organic gases such as methanol in the mixed steam affect the selection of the compressor? 4. Which manufacturers are available domestically or internationally? 5. Is there a flowchart for a similar system? 6. When using an MVR compressor, an MVR heat exchanger is usually also used. When a single MVR heat exchanger is not sufficient to handle the entire load, is it better to add an additional heat exchanger in parallel with the MVR heat exchanger or in series? Have you calculated the economic benefits? It is driven by electricity; it’s probably not a heat pump, as heat pumps are mainly used for waste heat utilization, and the economic efficiency of using electricity in that context is too poor.
