Mr. Ding from Suzhou started working with me around last year. I asked him how he found me, and he said he came across me through online searches; I’m very grateful to Baidu for its support. The order volume isn’t very large, but he places great emphasis on quality and keeps reminding me that customers are king – he doesn’t want to lose any client, big or small – and he hopes I can support him by ensuring quality control. Regarding quality, whether the customers request it or not, we always strive to do our best and provide excellent service to every customer. There has been a saying since ancient times that is well-known to everyone: you can’t get good quality at a low price. I personally fully agree. But many people have a tendency to seek the cheapest option; they buy from the supplier who offers the lowest price. To feel assured, they repeatedly emphasize to that supplier that the quality must be excellent and that there should be no problems. In response to the customer’s concerns, the supplier always agrees, aiming to reassure the customer. But I won’t mention here how many valves ended up having quality issues; I leave that question to those customers who have suffered as a result. Quality and price are directly proportional to each other; after accounting for profits, manufacturers actually don’t earn very much. We live in a market economy where prices fluctuate according to market conditions – they go up and down. However, a valve of good quality will never be sold at a price lower than its cost. I ask all our current and new customers, as well as those who have not yet worked with us, to keep this in mind. If some manufacturers sell at such low prices, there must be problems in certain aspects of the process. Mr. Ding said something very practical: your steel cast check valves are the most expensive, so I’ll still buy them from you. I truly appreciate Mr. Ding’s trust and support from the bottom of my heart. Today, I’d like to analyze with you here why there is such a large price difference among cast steel globe valves. 1. Quality of the casting process. The casting factories available on the market these days are numerous, but their quality varies greatly. As the old saying goes, you can’t get good quality at a low price. It’s also unrealistic for manufacturers to expect high-quality valve bodies at very low prices; therefore, the quality of the castings is the main factor that affects the quality of the finished globe valves. 2. The issue of casting weight. As is well known, castings are priced based on their weight; the heavier they are, the higher the price, and vice versa. 3. Quality issues with accessories. The accessories for valves are also of varying quality, with significant price differences. 4. Technical issues with factory workers. Now, in order to achieve higher profits, many manufacturers work with workers on a piece-rate basis. In order to earn more money, the workers pay no attention to the quality of the work and focus only on speed. Some manufacturers even ship the valves out without conducting any pressure testing; these valves are then tested at the construction site, resulting in frequent returns. The subsequent quality issues pose a serious problem for the manufacturers as well. Taking all these factors into account, I believe that customers who have given it careful consideration will understand one thing: you can’t get good valves at a low price.
