In daily operation, various components of tower cranes can develop a range of problems due to various factors, such as failures in the shafts and spindles. Faced with this situation, what measures do we need to take to resolve it? When the shaft and spindle components of a tower crane suffer from warping, damaged shaft shoulders, deformed keyways, or damaged threads, maintenance personnel need to employ appropriate methods for repair. For example, if the warping of a component exceeds the allowable limits, it must be straightened and restored to its original shape. Similarly, any damage to the shoulder must also be repaired. However, this situation is relatively easy to fix. It is recommended to use the welding and spraying method; however, this approach requires greater attention to the diameter of the shaft in order to avoid potential problems later on. Additionally, if the keyway deformation is not severe, it can be repaired manually to achieve the desired results.
