Shenhua Ningmei Group invited organizations such as the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, and the Yellow River Basin Water Resources Protection Bureau to conduct internal reviews of the environmental impact assessment revisions for the 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project, as well as the environmental impact report for the comprehensive utilization of coal slurry. At the meeting, the environmental assessment agency reported on the status of the environmental assessment report. The experts present reviewed the report and expressed their individual opinions on the review process. Following discussions by the expert group, an evaluation report was prepared, which offered valuable suggestions and opinions on the report.

Experts recommend continuing to make improvements, especially in terms of pollutant emissions; more effective treatment processes should be adopted to reduce emissions to even lower levels. Special attention should be paid to the treatment of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, as well as sewage and wastewater, and water consumption needs to be reduced
