The cost of installing a pure water treatment system is quite high, and the overall cost of producing pure water is also high. Currently, we are considering whether it’s better to use soft water or pure water – which one offers better operational results. Everyone, please share information about the situation in your own factories. We have now decided to install a pure water treatment system for use in an open system! It should be possible in the long term, mainly because heat exchangers are basically impossible to clean!
Using groundwater – pure water is such a luxury
Groundwater is used as circulating cooling water. . . However, some chemicals are added to the water, such as scale removers and disinfectants. . . Our circulating water system is closed. . It turns out to be an open-air recirculating water system that uses groundwater directly. . Some systems use soft water
It’s good to have groundwater – it’s clean! We are river water; dealing with it is very troublesome
Circulating water is cooled through evaporation, and it must come into contact with the atmosphere. Is water containing oxygen considered pure water?
Well, pure water does contain a small amount of dissolved oxygen, but the cleaner the water, the better for the equipment
Even with groundwater available, we don’t consider using pure water; it’s just an idea from the management. I’m not sure how common is the use of pure water for circulating cooling
Then use pure water; the equipment investment is similar to that for soft water, and the water quality will definitely be better
We are closed-loop, using desalinated water as the circulating water. .
Pure water is not recommended for open systems, but it can be used for closed systems.
