I would like to ask: what is the octane number of the gasoline components obtained after benzene and xylene are removed through continuous reforming, and what is the aromatic content of these components? Please ask an expert to answer
I’m not sure what kind of reforming the original poster is asking about. The raw materials for reforming are naphtha and C4 hydrocarbons; I used to work with C4 materials. The octane rating of the gasoline produced through reforming can reach up to 93, and that is when the catalyst is at its most active, with a benzene content of less than 1%. I haven’t studied naphtha-based processes
