Dear fellow sailors, recently our company’s acid supply pump has encountered some problems. The original large pump was used for intermittent acid supply; after switching to continuous supply, the flow rate became too high, and since there was no suitable return line, this caused the pump to overheat and suffer from rapid corrosion. We’ve had to replace the pump casing several times, but the problem persists. The required acid supply volume is 1.5 cubic meters per hour of fresh acid, with an outlet pressure of more than 12 kilograms and an inlet device pressure of 5 kilograms. I hope some kind-hearted fellow sailors can help us calculate the specifications for a smaller pump. Thank you
Wouldn’t it be more convenient and flexible to add an inverter when it gets larger? If you want to calculate the pump, you also need to provide the lift height, pipe diameter, pipe length, elbows, valves, and so on. And once selected, it’s best to operate near the operating conditions; flexibility is limited.
Are you using a horizontal pump or a vertical pump on site? Since the flow rate is not high, an appropriate shielded pump can be selected. Provide the manufacturer with your usage parameters, and they will give you the appropriate model.
