Regarding the measures to prevent overflow in hazardous material warehouses, external experts advised the subsidiary, as part of the system implementation, to create grooves in the warehouse floor to capture any excess liquid and prevent overflow. I raised an objection, stating that grooving the floor could lead to the accumulation of volatile gases, and requested that the entrance to the warehouse be raised. Please judge as above.
That must be an elevated design, which is convenient and effective!
Building codes require that factories have tight-fitting covers on their ditches, as well as measures to prevent the accumulation of flammable gases; however, this requirement is not specified for warehouses, and a distinction should be made. It is quite difficult to detect material leaks into the gutters inside the factory building, whereas leaks in the warehouse are easily detected and can be addressed promptly. Even if a slope is provided in the warehouse, flammable gases can still accumulate there. Leaks inside the warehouse are mainly detected through monitoring systems and alarms, with manual inspections serving as a supplementary measure. Requiring grooves to be made in the warehouse will definitely involve creating an accident containment pool, from which the liquid is then pumped away using explosion-proof pumps for treatment. As long as combustible gas detection alarms are installed in the warehouse in accordance with the regulations, there should be no problems. It’s just my personal opinion, for reference only.
