All the oil injected by the compressor oil injector ends up in the refrigeration system and circulates back into the reactor – does this have a significant impact on acid consumption? Please, experts, help me figure this out
If it contains substances such as olefins that affect acid consumption, the acid consumption will definitely be high; if the amount is very small, it can be ignored
Water, methanol, dimethyl ether, ethylene, butadiene, and n-butane, which do not participate in the reaction, all result in high acid consumption. The oil injected into the compressor also ends up in the refrigeration system, where it circulates back into the reactor; this as well leads to increased acid consumption. After being compressed and heated, the mixture contains more impurities and olefins.
